Security forces intimidate GBAO residents by coercing them to sign an extralegal document

As reported by sources of Pamir Daily News and Russian political scientist Andrey Serenko, the State Committee for National Security is coercing state employees in Khorugh and other districts of GBAO to sign an extralegal document according to which they will not participate in demonstrations, in night vigils and in any actions to protect "leaders of organized criminal groups", threatening them with dismissal from their jobs.
In a post on the Telegram channel of Pamir Daily News, according to which parents of high school students also are affected and local authorities are involved in the coercion efforts, this is assessed as "another indication that Tajik authorities have mounted an extraordinary campaign of intimidation and threats against the residents of GBAO".
