  • Are you pioneering new, innovative, and creative ideas in the sphere of civic education? Are you interested in exploring the many manifestations and meanings of BORDERS and what civic educators make of them within a European festival of ideas and actions? Do you and your organization want to share your knowledge and good practices with civic educators from across Europe by participating in expert panel discussions?

Then apply for a spot to participate in the NECE Festival 2024: BORDERS organized by THE CIVICS Innovation Hub. Taking place in Tirana from 14 to 17 November 2024 , this dynamic event will bring together up to 200 participants from various sectors across Europe, including civil society, politics, science, media, and culture. The festival's interactive, interdisciplinary, and inclusive format empowers participants to actively contribute by presenting innovative projects within 5-minute pitches, followed up by Q&A sessions, exchange of best practice examples and further insights to strengthen a cohesive approach in civic education. Within the topic BORDERS, the festival focuses on four key areas: Climate change & green literacy, Media & digital literacy, Geographies of division, diversity & community work and Migration regimes, civic education & governance.
