The statuteve purpose of Kherson Regional Department of Sociological Association of Ukraine (Kherson-SAU) is promotion of sociology. However, since 2011, the field of Kherson-SAU’s activities is not limited by the sphere of sociology. Over the few past years, Kherson-SAU has been actively involved in projects in the sphere of democratic values promotion, organization of educational workshops (the improvement of professional skills of journalists and representatives of local authorities). A feature of the organization is a work at the intersection of science, art and journalism in such areas as documentary theater, media, historical memory and public activity.
