Die Stadt Detmold gehört erneut zu den Pionieren unter den deutschen Kommunen. Als erste Mittelstadt in Deutschland hat sie sich erfolgreich für das Programm „OGP local“ beworben. OGP local steht für Open Government Partnership local, eine weltweite Initiative, die sich für mehr Transparenz, Teilhabe und Innovationen in lokalen Verwaltungen einsetzt. Weltweit nehmen derzeit 76 Gemeinden, Städte, Regionen und Provinzen am Programm teil. Aus mehr als 60 Bewerberinnen wurden in diesem Jahr 30 neue Mitglieder ausgewählt. Neben Hamburg gehören u.a. Montevideo (Uruguay), Karthago (Tunesien), Kildare (Irland) oder Tarkwa-Nsuaem (Ghana) zu den Siegern 2022.

Auf Bundesebene ist Deutschland bereits 2016 der OGP beigetreten und erarbeitet regelmäßig nationale Aktionspläne, um das offene Regierungs- und Verwaltungshandeln in Deutschland zu stärken. Auf kommunaler Ebene wird Detmold nun gemeinsam mit der Stadtgesellschaft einen lokalen Aktionsplan erarbeiten. Die Verwaltung will gemeinsam mit der Stadtgesellschaft einen Nachhaltigkeitsindex auf Nachbarschaftsebene aufzustellen und diese Daten als offene Daten (Open Data) veröffentlichen. Mit dem Open-Data-Nachbarschaftsindex will die Stadt Detmold das Gemeinschaftsgefühl stärken und die große Wirkung kleiner Veränderungen spürbar machen. Partner aus der Stadtgesellschaft, wie zum Beispiel der Lippe im Wandel e.V., sorgen dafür, dass die Daten nicht nur Daten sind, sondern dass sich möglichst viele Menschen in ihrer Nachbarschaft aktiv für eine Veränderung einsetzen. Das kann zum Beispiel das Pflanzen und Pflegen von Straßenbäumen sein, Urban Gardening oder das Anbringen von Trinkwasserbrunnen im öffentlichen Raum. So entsteht ein lebendiges (Open-Data-)Ökosystem in den Detmolder Nachbarschaften.

The city of Detmold is once again one of the pioneers among German municipalities. It was the first medium-sized city in Germany to successfully apply for the "OGP local" programme. OGP local stands for Open Government Partnership local, a worldwide initiative that promotes more transparency, participation and innovation in local administrations. Worldwide, 76 municipalities, cities, regions and provinces are currently participating in the programme. This year, 30 new members were selected from more than 60 applicants. Besides Hamburg, Montevideo (Uruguay), Carthage (Tunisia), Kildare (Ireland) or Tarkwa-Nsuaem (Ghana) are among the 2022 winners.

At the federal level, Germany already joined the OGP in 2016 and regularly develops national action plans to strengthen open governance in Germany. At the municipal level, Detmold will now develop a local action plan together with the city society. The administration wants to set up a sustainability index at neighbourhood level together with the city society and publish this data as open data. With the Open Data Neighbourhood Index, the city of Detmold wants to strengthen the sense of community and make the big impact of small changes tangible. Partners from the city society, such as Lippe im Wandel e.V., ensure that the data is not just data, but that as many people as possible in their neighbourhood actively work for change. This can be, for example, planting and caring for street trees, urban gardening or installing drinking water fountains in public spaces. This is how a living (open data) ecosystem is created in Detmold's neighbourhoods.
