Heute gibt uns die indische Aktivistin Anjali Bhardwaj* einen persönlichen Einblick in das Thema "Human Rights Violation & the Dismantling of Democracy". Die Vorlesung ist dabei ein eigenständiger Vortrag, der auch besucht werden kann ohne bei der vorangegangenen Vorlesung gewesen zu sein.

Zum Inhalt:
Over the past 5-6 years there has been an increased attack on the
Human and civil rights of the people of India under the right-wing Hindu authoritarian government. This has gone hand in hand with the constant
attempt to undermine the independence and the strength of various
democratic institutions including the judiciary.

• Anjali Bhardwaj is an Indian social activist, on issues of transparency & accountability, a co-convener of the national Campaign for People’s right to information (NCPR) and a founding member of Satark Nagrik Sangathan (Aware Citizen Organisation). Core concerns are the right to information, whistle blower protection and right to food.

Anjali Bhardwaj wird ca. 45 minuten bis ca. 1 Stunde reden, danach ist die Veranstaltung offen für Diskussion und Fragen.
