Dabei ist es grundlegend, intersektionale Machtverhältnisse in uns, der Gruppe und Gesellschaft zu erkennen und zu verändern. Das geht nur, wenn wir dabei gut für uns und füreinander sorgen, um langfristig und mit Freude dabei zu sein. Wir suchen Verstärkung für unser kleines Team für den organisatorischen Aufbau, inhaltliche Mitarbeit, Unterstützen & Mitdenken. Uns ist besonders wichtig, dass du diese Dinge mitbringst: • Mehrjährige Erfahrung in sozialen Bewegungen / Selbstorganisation • Erfahrungen / Interesse an Transformative Community Organizing (TCO) • Organisationstalent! • Erfahrung und Spaß an Teamarbeit • Gute Kenntnisse der Office Programme bzw. Mamadbokirov is one of the former field commanders of the United Tajik Opposition and a controversial figure in Khorugh. He had not played a major role in organizing the November 2021 protests and is not among the civil society activists (Group of 44) who have been demanding accountability and rule of law since then. On January 31, 2022, the Head of the Education Directorate of GBAO [claimed](https://asiaplustj.info/ru/news/tajikistan/laworder/20220202/nachalnik-upravleniya-obrazovaniya-gbao-bokir-izbil-menya-bokir-ei-bogu-vryot) that Mamadbokirov had beaten and insulted him, which Mamadbokirov denied. On February 2, 2022, the GBAO state attorney [declared](https://asiaplustj.info/ru/news/tajikistan/laworder/20220202/v-otnoshenii-mahmadbokira-mahmadbokirova-vozbuzhdeno-ugolovnoe-delo-po-chetiryom-statyam) that criminal proceedings had been started against Mamadbokirov in relation to that alleged incident.   • Roof-top Info SUMMARY May 17, 2022: Blockade of Khorugh is continuing, authorities target civil society activist MamadshoevaIn the morning of May 17, 2022, [crowds of people](https://t.me/anserenko/4262) were still protesting in the neighborhoods and security forces were continuing to paralyze public life, probably intending to avoid people gathering for a central protest event in the city center. The main roads and bridges within the town, as well as the roads connecting Khorugh with the surrounding districts and Dushanbe were [blocked](https://t.me/pamirdailynews/672) by military. Schools and public entities were [closed](https://t.me/pamirdailynews/675) and the internet connection continued to be disabled. In the afternoon of May 17, 2022, Pamir Daily News [reported](https://t.me/pamirdailynews/676) that a convoy of military vehicles was moving from Dushanbe in direction of Khorugh. According to a [source of political scientist Andrey Serenko](https://t.me/anserenko/4278), local youth was blocking the road in Vomar (Rushan district, GBAO) and preventing the military convoy from passing by in the afternoon of May 17, 2022. The newspaper and news portal Asia-Plus, the most important among the few independent media outlets in Tajikistan, [announced](https://asiaplustj.info/en/news/tajikistan/society/20220517/asia-plus-statement-regarding-the-situation-in-the-gorno-badakhshan-autonomous-region) that it would refrain from reporting comprehensively about events in GBAO. The editorial board admitted having received warnings from the public prosecutor and other state organs which criticised that the Asia-Plus coverage of events in GBAO was one-sided and contributed to destabilising the country, and threatened the media outlet with close-down in case this was not corrected. In a [press release](https://www.vkd.tj/index.php/ru/sobytiya/34065-vazorati-kor-oi-dokhil-khabar-medi-ad-2) published by the Ministry of the Interior, the renowned journalist and civil society activist Ulfatkhonim Mamadshoeva and the exiled oppositional politician Alim Sherzamonov were blamed for organizing the demonstration on May 16, 2022. In a call to the international community, diaspora civil society activists from GBAO deemed this a "false allegation" and warned of Mamadshoeva being "in imminent danger of arrest, which is likely to result in lengthy imprisonment". In the afternoon of May 17, 2022, [several journalists in Dushanbe](https://rus.ozodi.org/a/v-dushanbe-napali-na-s-yemochnuyu-gruppu-nastoyashchego-vremeni/31854850.html) were attacked by unidentified persons after interviewing Mamadshoeva. Their technical equipment was grabbed, including the one which contained the interview recording. These include the youth representatives Sodik Amadbekov and Gulaoz Gulaozov, according to a Pamir Daily News [article](https://pamirdaily.com/%d0%b4%d0%b2%d0%be%d0%b8%d1%85-%d0%b6%d0%b8%d1%82%d0%b5%d0%bb%d0%b5%d0%b9-%d1%85%d0%be%d1%80%d0%be%d0%b3%d0%b0-%d0%b7%d0%b0%d0%b4%d0%b5%d1%80%d0%b6%d0%b0%d0%bb%d0%b8-%d0%b2-%d0%b0%d1%8d%d1%80%d0%be/). They are accused of taking part in a fight after a soccer match in Khorugh in September 2020. Most attention, however, has been drawn by the [arrest](https://asiaplustj.info/en/news/tajikistan/laworder/20211231/tajik-mma-fighter-extradited-from-russia-to-tajikistan-faces-charge-of-inciting-regional-enmity-and-riots) of Chorshanbe Chorshanbiev who is well known as a professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter and blogger. He is [accused](https://asiaplustj.info/ru/news/tajikistan/society/20220107/kto-takoi-chorshanbe-chorshanbiev-i-chem-on-izvesten) of provoking social, racial, national, regional, religious (confessional) enmity or discord and of organizing activities of an extremist organization. According to an Eurasianet [article](https://eurasianet.org/tajikistan-mma-fighters-pro-pamiri-remarks-land-him-behind-bars), he might have been extradited by the Russian authorities at the request of the Tajik government and his arrest might have been triggered by a public statement in support of the November 25-28 protests in Khorugh. An ASIA-Plus [article](https://asiaplustj.info/ru/news/tajikistan/society/20220107/kto-takoi-chorshanbe-chorshanbiev-i-chem-on-izvesten) provides background information on Chorshanbiev. According to a Pamir Daily News [article](https://pamirdaily.com/%d0%bf%d1%80%d0%be%d0%ba%d1%83%d1%80%d0%b0%d1%82%d1%83%d1%80%d0%b0-%d0%b3%d0%b1%d0%b0%d0%be-%d0%be%d0%ba%d0%b0%d0%b7%d1%8b%d0%b2%d0%b0%d0%b5%d1%82-%d0%b4%d0%b0%d0%b2%d0%bb%d0%b5%d0%bd%d0%b8%d0%b5/) and a Radio Ozodi [interview](https://rus.ozodi.org/a/31642503.html), the public prosecutor’s office reached out to Chorshanbiev’s mother and suggested that she participated in a videotaped message to calm the public. In return, the judicial authorities would allegedly reduce the sentence against Chorshanbiev. However, Chorshanbiev's mother refused to participate in the video, arguing that her son had not violated any laws and had not called for illegal actions. In, his family thinks that his departure was well planned. Different social media comments related to these arrests show that many consider these arrests to be unfair and very targeted at active GBAO residents.
