  • Helmut Wolman Update on Transiscope from France / BelgiumHi everyone, I'm Pierre ([Transiscope.org](https://transiscope.org/alternatives-web-portal/) - non profit), also working with Virtual Assembly (also non profit) on tools to interoperate data together. Transiscope is a 'global' map which does not host any data itself, it just aggregates data from 25+ sources. We develop and maintain 2 open source tools : - Semantic Bus https://github.com/assemblee-virtuelle/Semantic-Bus. It's an ETL inside an ESB (sorry for the technical stuff) allowing to interoperate data which are not supposed to. Transiscope is based on semantic bus to homogenize the data (+gogocarto to display the data). As far as I read Fairkom git, there are already some discussions https://git.fairkom.net/fairsync/maps/-/issues/6 - SemApps. https://www.virtual-assembly.org/semapps-2/ It's a microservice tools for developper to help them to build semantic applications (LOD). @Roland, Freddy, I suppose it connects to your work, because it's also based on LOD, RDF and Activity Pub. We already have produced apps and documentation here -> https://semapps.org/docs/guides/ldp-server. Github is here In France, there is more and more actors producing maps that are not connected (so the data are n-duplicate, which leads to a lack of quality). I'm doing my best to sensitize actors to standards (pen street map project, datactivist, https://www.communecter.org/#) and having this work done at an international level would definitely be game changing. In my radar is also : - Murmurations https://murmurations.network/2021/03/19/murmurations-protocol-version-1-is-up-and-running/ - In Common https://talk.incommon.cc/ - Transformadora team '(World Social Forum of Transformative Economy) which is very interested by this topic. https://forum.transformadora.org/?locale=en See you tomorrow, Pierre

What if there was a map for them to participate in? Our goal is to provide a common map platform (such as the mapoftomorrow.org and mapa.falanster.by) for civil society actors in Russia through which local initiatives can be mapped by volunteers. This should lead to better findability of sustainable organisations, promotes direct exchange and a sense of community at the local level, stabilises support structures and makes the socio-ecological transformation visible. • Hannah Monnin Klima-Mitbestimmung JETZT braucht eure Unterstützung! Klima-Bürgerrats) … was machen wir gerade,...? Dann schaut doch in unser Erklärvideo!

  • Imke Eichelberg Survey: Strengthening European Social Movement EcologyHello friends, We're reaching out to seek your input into the design and development of a new phase of work with European social movements. We know that to build powerful and effective movements, we need spaces to learn from each other’s struggles. At the Ulex Project, we’re expanding our successful Ecology of Social Movements training to create a new activist learning initiative. It aims to create a container for activists to engage in deep action-learning practice within the landscape of diverse struggles and movement building. To help us design that new space, this survey asks movement organisers, activist trainers, and others involved in popular struggles across Europe, to help us think about the kind of training and support movements most need today. The survey forms part of a community of inquiry process running through the winter. The link to the survey is here and we would greatly appreciate it if you would share it with your networks to help us get the word out there. Here's a suggested tweet: "How do we build stronger and more effective European Social Movements? The @UlexProject are designing and developing a new training phase of their work and seeking input and suggestions from movement leaders, activsts and organisers. Find our more: https://form.jotform.com/202953820908055" At this crucial time for our social movements, the need for well-informed strategies and spaces for learning couldn't be more important, and we're excited to build on the work so far with your input and suggestions. The deadline for the survey is 23rd November 2020.
